GOP is attacking Google claiming that they are unfairly tampering with search results to promote their own products. This is a really interesting precedent to say that a private company is required to treat all others equally in a distribution channel.

I was a bit too young to make a call on the Microsoft anti-trust case, but in this case, I’d simply say this isn’t a place for government regulation.

Determining fairness in search is a slippery slope problem which will unravel quickly when they realize the countless measures Google takes in its search algorithms to protect the quality of the results.

Also, anyone amazed that the GOP is pushing for regulation. Looking forward to following as this story unfolds.
