Our goal is to create the best place to have a thoughtful conversation online. Two major design questions that we’ve been focusing on (1) how do we make responses on Kapuno first-class pieces of content and (2) how do you make it easy for someone to jump in a thread of a conversation and understand context.

To accomplish the two goals, we designed new response pages which present a beautifully formatted response, without losing the context of the conversation thread that led to it. This allows a responder to share their response with the same pride of a blog post. It also enables those that jump in from other networks to have the thread’s context without reading all of the conversations responses.

You can view the full-page (or zoom in on a) response from the conversation page by clicking the zoom link to the right of every response.

Moreover, we added real-time tracking of the views and viewers to all conversations and responses. Note, only individuals who are logged in can see the metrics at this moment and we started tracking on January 10th, so posts prior have lower that actual numbers. To limit “gaming” of numbers, we’ll limit details on the tracking infrastructure at this time. However, if you have questions, with regards to privacy, please email us at support@kapuno.com.

Feel free to chime in and tell us what you think or what you’d like to see.
