There are several perspectives, including a recent MIT Tech Review article, that are stating that we’re not solving the big problems.
The problems being solved are dictated by the market and by what popular culture dictates is sexy. The irony of both positions is that Venture Capital dictates what gets funded and could push the market towards bigger, more pressing problems. I don’t see them leading.
What problems is the tech world avoiding?
